Osteomyelitis


Osteomyelitis refers to the inflammatory phenomenon caused by bone infection, in which bacterial infection accounts for the majority. According to the infection route, it can be divided into two categories: bloodline and contact. Failure to cure acute osteomyelitis can lead to chronic osteomyelitis, and most of the patients are teenagers and children.


Symptoms

in patients with acute osteomyelitis have the following symptoms:
  • Bone pain and swelling, especially the arm bones and legs;
  • The affected area will be difficult to move due to pain;
  • High fever and chills. In simple terms, acute osteomyelitis is caused by inflammation of the bones. Infection may be caused by bacteria invading the bone marrow directly through the wound; it may also be that the bacteria are transmitted through the blood and indirectly spread to the body of the body.

Treatment The treatment of

osteomyelitis includes the use of antibiotics and surgical procedures (debridement and derivatization, bone transplantation, soft tissue reconstruction, etc.). Acute osteomyelitis can resolve and heal within a few days if it is discovered and treated as soon as possible. However, if the patient is slightly ill and does not seek medical treatment, acute osteomyelitis is likely to develop chronic osteomyelitis and slow bone development and scurvy.
